| Transfer Students - Through Summer 2009 |
 |
|
The selection of transfer applicants is very competitive. The College
of Engineering recommends applicants complete the following courses with
high grades to be competitive. The courses are the same courses listed
under section one of the Admission's Undergraduate Preparation Guide and
are based on the 2007-09 Cal Poly catalog and current blanket substitutions.
Note: the completion of these courses with high grades does not mean an
applicant will be selected for admission into Cal Poly (it is a competitive
process). Applicants should use www.assist.org
to find articulated courses (courses equivalent to Cal Poly courses). If
the institution is not listed, the applicant will need to look up the course
descriptions of the courses at www.calpoly.edu and
compare the course descriptions with the courses the applicant plans to
complete prior to applying to Cal Poly.
Prior to Fall 2009, the College of Engineering uses two models to accept transfer students.
One model is for engineering majors (not Software Engineering) and the
second model is for computer science/software engineering majors.
